Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The Fried Asam Laksa noodles were quite unique and nice. The Fried Hokkien Mee was so so only. Lala Mee Hoon Soup could do with a bit more soup bcos the Mee Hoon soaked up the soup pretty fast. Service was quite quick. Overall a good eating place."
"The price is reasonable. LaLa Noodle (rm18) is the best! Spring roll (rm12) was very good and special. The remaining noodles (each cost about rm9) were good (fried asam laksa, loh mee, Hokkien Mee)"
"This place is known for their lor mee, but I think that the fried laksa is better! It has crunchy bits, was sweet and sour, and balanced with the raw onion and cucumber. Lor mee however, was a bit sour. Perhaps that's how they like to have it here, then it's fine. Not halal, no coriander, has toilet"
"KKB is a lovely quaint town. Today we tried loo mee (to be eaten with black vinegar ). Good to the last drop. Singapore fried beehoon has good wok hei but it’s sweetish. Overall still very tasty. The sambal is excellent. Fish cake ….the texture is smooth and springy. Such fish cake can only be found in KKB Fried pork belly with fermented bean is also excellent. Crispy and yet soft in texture. It was a most satisfying lunch."
"The place to go for ulu yam style loh mee. The fried asam laksa is a unique twist to the usual, offering asam laksa flavor in a dry format. Side dishes are nice too, loh bak tastes meaty"
"Came here for a day trip and have our lunch here. We ordered a few signature dishes such as fried fish cake, lor-mee. The taste is good Just the right taste for us. The portion is also generous compared to the local price. Worth a try ! Parking is plenty."
"We only had a bowl of Lor mee and a plate of fish cake as we were still quite full and wanted to leave space for durian down the road. Both were pretty good. And big portion for its price. Quite a popular place so must be held in high regards. Hope to be back soon to try more soon."
"Tuesday (2nd day of Raya) 12.30pm Place was crowded with patrons, mostly visitors from out of town. Ordering was done seamlessly with a form. Some quick explanation and recommendations by the staff. Single cook in the kitchen but he managed the orders in a timely manner. Fried noodle with big prawn was tasty, the broth tasted like home made rich prawn broth. Lor mee tasted good with some vinegar and chilli. Squid wanton was very crispy and delicious. So was the fish cake. Portions were normal sized. Pricing does not feel like small town prices. Likely spoilt by the strong demand from out of town visitors."
